Today marks one year to the day the church lost founding church member Mrs Bertha Mvundura.

She passed on last year on this day and was laid to rest at Greendale Cemetery.

Bertha Mvundura was born on 20 July 1945 at Mutambara Mission where she did her education before marrying Amon Paradzayi Mvundura in 1967.

Between 1980 and 2000, she worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked for the Zimbabwean embassy in Namibia from 2002 to 2005.

She was a founding member at Cranborne Circuit alongside her husband in 1989 and was part of the Entertainment (now Catering and Hospitality) committee at circuit, district and conference level.

She also served in the SPPR Committee and was a long time mother advisor to the circuit UMYF and RRW.

She left behind husband Amon and four children.

Meanwhile, a memorial service for the late Mvundura will be held this Saturday 9 October 2021 at the family residence at 42 Arlington Road, Hatfield from 1030hrs.
