CRANBORNERS GIVE WINNET ROUSING SENDOFF
Cranborne Circuit resembled a sombre mood on Wednesday afternoon (5 August)as the late Mrs Winnet Jakachira came to her spiritual home for the very last time.
Jakachira, who passed away on Tuesday morning, will be laid to rest at Glen Forest Cemetery tomorrow (Thursday) at 1pm.
Ahead of that, the church took time to celebrate her life in song and dance, something that punctuated Winnet’s life having been a chorister for the main choir and the RRW choir.
Deputy Administrative Assistant to the Bishop Reverend Vienna Mutezo and Harare East District Superintendent Reverend Oscar Mukahanana were among the mourners at the sanctuary.
Reverend Noah Chikuni gave a moving sermon in which he described Mai Jakachira as a selfless and dedicated woman who put enomous sacrifices in ministry despite not having a particular committee in which she served in.
She encourages mourners to take a leaf from her life and leave a lasting legacy people will talk about once life comes to an end.
A service will be held at the Jakachira residence at 10am tomorrow with burial following thereafter.
Mrs Jakachira, who was 42, is survived by husband Founder and four children.
