ALL SET FOR CRANBORNE MUMC ALBUM LAUNCH

The much awaited album launch for the Zimbabwe East Annual Conference MUMC Music Champions Cranborne MUMC Choir will be held tomorrow (Saturday) with four guest performing acts set to grace the occasion.

The album, titled Jesu Anotida, has generated hype within the length and breath of the Zimbabwe Episcopal Area and many music enthusiasts are anxiously waiting to grab a copy when it is officially released tomorrow.

The nine track album features songs Mumwe Ariko Kumusoro, Ndakabarwa Mune Dima, Gare Gare, Padyo Nemi Mwari, Mweya Mutsvene Muri Mwari, Mwari wakanaka veduwe, Tenzi Ngandifambe nemi, Kana ndaona Muchinjiko and Toenda Kune Musha.

The album project will also see proceeds being channeled towards the purchasing of a circuit bus which will cater for the musical sojourns of the musically respected church.

The event will be graced by the presence of Namatai Chinyerere, Mabelreign South MUMC Choir, Zimre Park MUMC, Harare Inner City MUMC Choir and Great Harare MUMC Choir.

Chinyerere is a seasoned musician, riding on the success of hits Ndoramba Ndichinamata and Neni Handikurasi whilst Zimre Park is exchanging the favour, Cranborne having supported their album A call to worship a few years ago.

The two music powerhouses from Harare West District Mabelreign South and Harare Inner City brings much needed flavour and pedigree, both being serial winners at district and conference level in the MUMC music division and they will surely bring their A game to the event.

Great Harare MUMC brings some of the most treasured voices in the musical circles in Last Mupaya, Obert Chipfunde, Ernest Mupunga and Tafadzwa Tsiga to the core and with two hugely successful albums to their belt, they will surely sample some of their great hits at the launch.

The launch starts in the afternoon and a full house is expected since the show is free.

It will be broadcast live on the circuit Facebook page.
