February 15 represents arguably the darkest day in the history of Cranborne Circuit for in 2015, the church lost its first ever Associate Pastor Reverend Winnet Chombo.

Chombo had just been assigned to Cranborne and only spent 45 days before she breathed her last on what was a Sunday afternoon.

As Cranborne celebrates 30 years in existence, we remember those that have contributed to our being and Rev Chombo in no small part, did just that.

The appointment of a second pastor at Cranborne represented growth for a church born from humble beginnings, so big the need arose to have two pastors.

Not only was our Reverend Chombo coming as the first Associate Pastor, so did Reverend Dr Gift Machinga, who was a fresh appointee as Pastor in Charge replacing Reverend Maxwell Chambara.

Reverend Chombo was described as a prayer warrior with her short spell at Cranborne described as days of love and hope by Mrs Rudo Mwakutuya.

As we prepare to celebrate 30 years in existence, her legacy indeed is celebrated and cherished.
