Harvest Target Surpassed!!!
…as Cranborne surpasses target yet again.
Cranborne Circuit has surpassed the Harvest Thanksgiving target for the second consecutive year after performing exceedingly by the official closure of the season on Sunday.
Having broke a decade long wait to reach a target in 2017 by raising close to $75 000 from the set target of $70 000, this year’s target of $85 000 has been reached and Cranborne is now on the cusp of getting to $92 000 with finer details to be released over the course of the week.
In a year characterised by an unfavourable economic environment, the circuit still finds itself giving beyond expectations with programmes organised by the Stewardship and Temperance Commitee led by Mr Joseph Mushambi bearing the desired results.
Harvest Thanksgiving was remitted as individuals, sections and organisations with two additional special arrangements for totems and professions ensuring people celebrate this year’s Harvest in style.
The main celebrations were held on August 5 with Rev Dr Gift Machinga preaching on “The God that i have become to know” with a guest choir appearance from the legendary Harare MUMC Choir Vabvuwi (formerly Harare West MUMC Choir).
The official closure was graced with the presence of upcoming musician Tinotenda Katsande.
Indeed as the Rev Dr Machinga preached, God means so many things to the people of Cranborne on the evidence of the outcome of the season defining event on the church calendar.
